Q: What does the Foundation do?
A: The overall mission of the Foundation is to support innovation in District schools through fundraising, engaging volunteers, and building an endowment. Some Education Foundations offer mini-grants to teachers, run scholarship programs and manage alumni relations. Our Foundation is in the process of deciding what to focus on.
Q: Who leads the Education Foundation?
A: A 15-member volunteer board provides leadership for the Foundation. Members represent all three towns in the school district: Hampden, Winterport and Newburgh. A part-time coordinator provides administrative support for the Foundation.

A: The Foundation is a separate, non-profit organization, that is not a part of the District, but partners with District staff and the MSAD #22 School Board to support schools, staff and students.

A: The Foundation Board is currently developing an action plan to fulfill its mission to support innovative teaching and learning for MSAD #22. If you have an idea or suggestion, feel free to contact the Foundation Coordinator or to attend a monthly Board meeting.
Q: Where is the Foundation located?
A: The Foundation office is currently in Room 168 at Wagner Middle School in Winterport. Office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Education Foundation Board meets every 2nd Wednesday in the Reeds Brook Middle School library.
Q: How can I make a donation to the Foundation?
A: Donations are welcome! Simply contact the Foundation Office, donate online, or mail your donation to the MSAD #22 Education Foundation, Box 115, Hampden, ME 04444. You will receive an acknowledgement and a receipt; all donations are fully tax-deductible.
